The Second American Revolution of 2012

“Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their country.”

When Charles E. Weller wrote these words in 1867, he intended them to be a simple typing test. How little did he know that these 16 words would become the clarion call to all patriots whenever the Republic was in danger, right up to this day.

In the last 2-and-a-half years, the call has become urgent. In the last few weeks, the call has become a shout. The patriots are awake and have said “Enough, This Will Not Stand!”

In the 2010 Congressional elections, a clear and unequivocal message was sent by “We the People of the United States” to the Executive and Legislative Branches of our Government. A message as clear as the “Shot heard round the world.” fired in 1775 during the stand-off between British forces and the Lexington militia at the Old North Bridge.

Like King George, our President and the old guard of the Congress viewed this as nothing more than a bunch of radicals looking to upset the normal course of events. They continued on with socialist agendas, rule by degree, and most dangerous of all, the trampling of the Constitution that we hold so dear.

Our elected leaders no longer fear the will of the people. They have chosen the road to political elitism, rather than adherence to the principles established and set down by the Founding Fathers. And with that, we remind them of the preamble of the Declaration of Independence:

“Prudence, indeed, will dictate that governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shown that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such government, and to provide new guards for their future security.”

The Second American Revolution has begun! It will take place at the ballot boxes around the country where We the People of the United States will make our stand against usurpation and tyranny, just as the brave men did at the Old North Bridge in 1775.

To the members of Congress, you are either with us, or you are against us. If you are against us, you are against the Constitution and the Republic. You must choose now and make your choice clear and public. There is no fence to sit on in this quest, neither is there a middle of the road. Your syrupy word play will not save or protect you, nor will your twisting of facts and truth. The ballot box will judge you for what you are. Know that the patriots are awake and you will be judged either friend or foe. The patriots are awake, and fraud and manipulation of the vote is no longer your option.

In this Second American Revolution, there can be no “summer soldier and the sunshine patriot” as  Thomas Paine wrote in “The Crisis” “THESE ARE the times that try men's souls.” (ibid - emphasis added). There must be unity among all patriots, and one aim – To Restore the Republic!

Those who are dedicated to this purpose have already been termed by our own government as “Hobits” and “Terrorists”. The government has declared the citizenry to be enemies of the state. And day by day they take our liberties and restrict our inalienable rights. Can there be any clearer justification to demand their removal through the ballot box? Now is the time to stand up and be counted among those who are dedicated and resolved to saving and restoring the Republic.

Accomplishing this lofty goal will require a meticulousness of the patriot far exceeding anything we are accustomed to seeing anytime in modern memory. In this coming election, “Truth” must be our watchword, “Diligence” must be our maxim, and “Courage” must be our dictum.

Only by the dedication and vigilance of the patriot in the coming days can we take our country back from those who would enslave us by intolerable debt and relegate us to serfdom to a political elitist tyranny.

At the close of the Constitutional Convention in 1787, a lady asked Dr. Franklin, Well Doctor, what have we got, a republic or a monarchy? A republic, replied the Doctor, if you can keep it. (The Records of the Federal Convention of 1787).

I, for one, will not let this Republic die on my watch. I will not permit future generations to look back at us and say “They slept comfortably in their beds while the Republic died a horrible death in the halls of Congress.” The time to decide is now. For the honor of those who fought and died for this country in generations before, and for the well being of those who will follow after us, I call upon all patriots to join in the fight.
